Overview

Increase your knowledge of the latest research in the field of music and wellbeing and support your continuing professional development.

The module in Music, Wellbeing and its Evaluation will expand your contextual knowledge of the subject, develop your knowledge of the current state of research in the field, and enable you to explore the physical and mental benefits and problems associated with musical participation.

The Applied Professional Practice module will provide you with opportunities to take a proactive and self-reflective role in your work, developing professional relationships with our partner organisations.

Career opportunities

This course will allow you to develop your knowledge of the subject area and enhance your skills in self-reflection and evaluation, and oral and written communication, supporting your continued professional development.

You'll gain a range of transferable skills in research, self-reflection and evaluation, interpretation and oral and written communication. All of these can be applied in musical as well as non-musical contexts.

We also offer additional support as you develop your career plans, the School of Music boasts an Alumni Mentoring Network, where students can be supported by past students as they start to plan their next steps.
