Course summary
Studying Music Technology and Audio Production at the University of Kent’s Centre for Music and Audio Technology will give you the knowledge, skills and confidence to launch your career in the music industry. On this exciting programme, you learn how to use audio hardware and software to a professional standard. Areas you explore include: recording and production techniques, music programming, music and media, and music event technologies. Your critical skills are developed through an in-depth understanding of the technology and its associated music. You also study areas such as music and sound for film, television, media and video games.You are taught by an excellent academic team of industry practitioners and benefit from masterclasses from experts working in the music industry.You can choose to spend either a term or an additional year in industry. This provides the opportunity to gain relevant workplace experience and increase your contacts and network, so that you can hit the ground running when you graduate.
