Course summary

If you’d like to make a difference to the lives of people with neurogenerative diseases, tumours, strokes, and traumatic brain injuries then this is the course for you. This course will provide you with an in-depth understanding of neuropsychology and neuropsychological techniques alongside an understanding of the core areas of Psychology. Our Neuropsychology degree programme will provide you with the opportunity to pursue a number of different career paths, including working with people with a range of needs such neurodegenerative diseases, tumours, strokes, traumatic and brain injuries or to undertake a research career either in industry or academia. The specialist knowledge and skills you’ll develop over the course of this degree can offer a route towards a range of careers centred around brain function. While that often means clinical or healthcare settings, it could also offer routes into the pharmaceutical industry, community services or teaching. Neuropsychology is even being applied to the marketing and advertising world, potentially offering some graduates a more unexpected path. Many of the graduates aiming to become professional psychologists go on to postgraduate study, including our very own BPS-accredited master’s programmes.
