Working in specialist and community services, and people's homes, mental health nurses provide focused health support to people of all ages. You’ll play your part in improving access to healthcare, wellbeing, social inclusion and quality of life.BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing is accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), which means you can register as a mental health nurse with them when you graduate. Working with a passionate, enthusiastic, skilled and supportive team, your learning will be enriched by the very latest best practice.About half your time will be spent on placements, and you’ll have access to outstanding facilities including our Skills Simulation Suite https://www1.uwe.ac.uk/whyuwe/fantasticfacilities/skillssimulationsuite.aspx).Based at Glenside Campus, you’ll learn alongside other students from other health and social care courses, and develop essential people skills. There's also the opportunity to develop and apply your skills working abroad.Mental health nurses are in demand across the UK, and you could go on to work in a broad variety of specialist areas and interesting roles.You could work for the NHS, in hospitals and community settings. You could also take your skills into the armed forces, prison service or the private and voluntary sector.
