You will experience the work of specialist services in areas such as addiction, eating disorders, personality disorders and psychological therapies. Work alongside highly skilled and experienced mental health nurses at the cutting-edge of patient care delivery.

Our placements will provide you with a vital opportunity to put your first-class theoretical learning into practice, working alongside highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Nurses. These practitioners are at the cutting-edge of delivering excellent patient care in acute, medical, community and rehabilitation services. Your placements will also provide you with opportunities to satisfy the requirements of the EU Directives. During your training you will experience the work of specialist services in areas such as addiction, eating disorders, personality disorders and psychological therapies.

Successful completion of the course brings first level registration as a qualified nurse. Mental Health Nursing graduates will be well-placed for swift promotion to senior and leading roles in nursing and healthcare sectors. These include posts such as advanced practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, nurse consultants, nurse teaching, research and senior managerial and operational posts.
