Adult nursing is a rewarding and challenging career, enabling you to make a real difference to people's lives. You will work with adults of all ages, who may have one or more long or short-term physical/mental health conditions.
These could include:heart disease, arthritis,dementia,diabetes,cancer
As a student studying adult nursing, you will achieve a BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult) and become registered as an adult nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
Applicants are required to complete an enhanced occupational health assessment to ensure that they are occupationally fit to work in the health and social care setting.


You'll learn how to observe patients and assess their physical, psychological, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. You'll develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values to plan and deliver the most appropriate care for them (underpinned by current research findings) and evaluate the results, in both hospital and out-of-hospital settings.
You'll be based in the School of Health, Sport, and Bioscience in Stratford, but this course integrates theory alongside practice, so you'll be on placements in many clinical settings.
We have strong links with local NHS trusts and private-sector providers, which means you'll have a range of work placement opportunities.

A career in nursing offers opportunities for a career in a broad range of fields across the NHS and private sectors in hospital, community and social care. For example: Acute hospital trusts, General practice, Community hospitals, Nursing homes and care homes, Private hospitals and the independent sector, Key industry partners
