This comprehensive programme is based at UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health (UCL GOS ICH). As a student, you will benefit from the unique position the institute occupies within UK paediatrics. We bring together strong links to Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children with our setting within the powerful teaching and research environment of UCL.This programme will give you both practical experience and academic insight into several areas of intensive care paediatrics. You will learn the theory behind current approaches, whilst also exploring the latest research that is driving the speciality forward. This focus makes the programme of value to both general paediatricians and potential intensivists. You will learn about the theory and practice of paediatric intensive care medicine (PICM), covering general issues, cardiac critical care, and transport of the critically ill child. Content includes topics from the UK and international PICM curricula and will help towards building the knowledge and understanding required to undertake the European Paediatric/Neonatal Intensive Care professional qualification.
