Performance Analysis and Coaching Science at Derby
Using the latest technologies, including a VICON 3D motion capture system and integrated Kistler Force Plates, plus a scientific and practical approach, this course enables you to develop specialist skills in performance analysis to train athletes to their full potential.
Throughout the course you'll study the science behind physical performance, exploring anatomy for sport and exercise, biomechanics, development of coaching, and notational, movement and performance analysis.
Combining your understanding of the human body with coaching principles, you will progress to learn vital techniques for improving individual sporting performance. Unique work placement and internship opportunities with professional clubs allow you to apply your theoretical knowledge to practice, which is essential in preparation for your future career.
