Course Content

This exciting new part-time course (14 hours per week) is ideal for students seeking a career in the Performing Arts industry. Across the two years, Pearson BTEC Higher National qualifications in Performing Arts offer:

A stimulating and challenging programme of study that will be both engaging and memorable for students.
The essential subject knowledge that students need to progress successfully into further study or the world of work.
A varied approach to assessment that supports progression to Level 6 and also allows Centres to offer assessment relevant to the local economy, thereby accommodating and enhancing different learning styles.
A qualification designed to meet the needs and expectations of students aspiring to work in an international Performing Arts environment.

Course Aims

The BTEC Higher National qualification in Performing Arts is aimed at students wanting to continue their education through applied learning and wish to pursue or advance their career in Performing Arts.


Upon successful completion of all year one modules, students will achieve a full Level 4 HNC award. On completion of all year 2 modules, students will leave the course with a full level 5 HND diploma. Typical progression routes would be to University in a related subject area or students may secure employment within the performing arts industry.
