This course ensures that you're fully prepared for a career in teaching secondary physics. We help you to grow academically and professionally, gaining advanced qualifications alongside practical training. You'll graduate as an experienced and employable physics teacher, ready to inspire and impart your enthusiasm.

How you learn

This course provides an advanced academic qualification alongside the real-world experience that is so vital for teaching. Along with honing your physics skills, you'll learn crucial techniques in behaviour management and student support. There are 120 days of school-based training that allow you to become used to the realities of teaching before graduation. You are assessed through supportive, collaborative means, helping you to grow and improve.

Future careers

This course prepares you for a career in

  • more general graduate careers including, for example, retail management and the civil service

Many of our students go on into full-time positions at their placement school. The course is vocational in nature, and our graduate employment rate is usually well in excess of 90%.
