Course summary
If you are an experienced dentist, this part-time course will give you the skills to use conscious sedation safely and effectively.You will gain the knowledge required for safe sedation according to national standards. You will also have the opportunity for supervised clinical experience at our University Dental Clinic in Preston.On successful completion of this course, you'll be able to offer conscious sedation as a sedation-operator. You will feel confident in your ability to do so. You will be offered mentoring during and following completion of the course to support your transition to practise independently.This course complies with national guidelines, including IACSD, Dental Faculties of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons and Royal College of Anaesthetists.Why study with usOur conscious sedation course complies with national standards.It covers all aspects of inhalation and intravenous sedation, as well as anxiety and behaviour management.You will complete at least 20 supervised clinical cases at our Dental Clinic.
