Course summary

COURSE OVERVIEW

The first to be accredited by the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr) – the national register for qualified sport and exercise nutritionists – this course is academically challenging, vocationally relevant and underpinned by evidence-based practice. It focuses on the study of nutrition in relation to sport and exercise.

As part of your course you’ll:

Gain a thorough understanding of the multidisciplinary aspects of sport and exercise nutrition
Study the principles and applications of sport and exercise nutrition in practice
Examine scientific concepts that promote an understanding of issues in the study of sport and exercise nutrition

Upon completion of your course, you’ll be able to apply for graduate registration with the SENr.

Whether you aspire to work in high-performance sport or in the promotion of physical activity, exercise and health, this course will develop the professional skills relevant to a host of work-related settings.

A series of nutrition workshops and applied sessions will also provide you with the opportunities to develop your practical skills and apply your expertise.

If you’d like to gain additional practical experience alongside your academic study, you’ll be able to apply for an internship in an applied sport science setting, working with elite athletes under the guidance of a registered SENr practitioner.
