Course summary

Grow the skills needed to play a role in future drug development and design. Fascinated by the world of medicine? Ever wondered how drugs are designed and made, and why they work? Study pharmaceutical chemistry to develop skills that will open doors to rewarding opportunities in a range of industries. You’ll learn how AI accelerates the drug discovery process, search for ways to combat diseases and viruses, and be at the forefront of medical research. Pharmacology, biochemistry, cancer chemotherapy, inorganic chemistry, spectroscopy – these are just a few of the areas you’ll examine. All our modules are taught through a mixture of lectures, tutorials, augmented reality and lab simulation work, reflecting the challenges you’ll face as a pharmaceutical chemist.
