How are they are discovered and tested? How do they affect society? If you want to delve deeper into these questions, this could be the course for you.This course focuses on biological processes, rather than chemical ones. It examines how drugs affect their target areas (such as major organs and systems) and how the body reacts.You’ll study the treatment of cancer and infectious diseases, drugs that act on the brain (such as antidepressants), new drugs that treat cardiovascular disease, and the issues of drug abuse and addiction.
