Course summary
OVERVIEW
The PhD by Publication is designed for researchers and practitioners who are active in their field but do not have a PhD. Students on this programme will submit a portfolio of publications (which might mean journal articles, books, patent applications, exhibitions or performances) along with an analytical commentary. The portfolio of publications must represent a coherent contribution to research and demonstrate a depth of scholarship, criticality and originality comparable with that required by a traditional PhD. Route 1 is for candidates who already have some research outputs published, and who will produce more publications during their PhD. This route lasts 2 years full time, or 4 years part time.
