Course summary

Our research into face perception has been a particular strength at York. We combine several areas of expertise to approach the topic from a number of perspectives.Vision research at York spans early sensory encoding to representations of complex objects, such as faces.We use neuropsychological and neuroimaging methods, computer modelling and virtual reality techniques to understand the psychological aspects of vision and face perception.Our research is improving police and border agency facial identification, informing medical screening and aiding research on macular degeneration.
