To conduct research and make original contributions to the advancement of knowledge in the areas of (1) Mobile and Wireless Communications and Networks including topics of Communications using multiple and massive antennas, Cooperative, multiuser and relay communications, Cognitive radio communications and spectrum sensing, None-orthogonal and orthogonal multicarrier communications, Green and energy harvesting communications, Wireless power transfer and simultaneous information and power transmission, Full-duplex communication systems and networks, Millimeter wave wireless and mobile communications, and (2) Radio Frequency and Analogue Circuits and Systems with specific topics of Software defined radio transceiver architecture, RF and millimeter wave circuits and systems, Analogue and mixed-signal circuits and systems, Test and diagnosis of analogue and mixed-signal circuits, Reconfigurable and programmable analogue and RF circuits, Low power and low voltage circuits and systems, RF energy harvesting circuits and systems, Wireless power transfer circuits and systems.Our PhD programmes enable students to develop specialist research skills and knowledge. We aim to provide PhD projects that will challenge and in some cases even inspire our students.
