Studying the Philosophy major at NCH offers an opportunity to be taught by some of the foremost scholars in the field. Talented staff and a wider-ranging curriculum ensure that students engage with their course material in a very hands-on way. From Plato to Nietzsche, from advanced ethics to metaphysics, and from politics to logic, philosophy students are challenged with a rigorous curriculum aimed at academic growth and intellectual creativity.The Philosophy with Economics BA will equip you to analyse and make arguments with clarity, rigour, and originality. The Philosophy major will give you the ability to engage with central questions, arguments, theories and texts concerning the world and our place within it. Learn about the logic behind language and meaning, while studying topics such as ethics, metaphysics and aesthetics. In the Economics minor, you’ll study how people act, and how we can influence them to act otherwise.
