Course summary
Studying the Philosophy major at NCH offers an opportunity to be taught by some of the foremost scholars in the field. From Plato to Nietzsche, from advanced ethics to metaphysics, and from politics to logic, philosophy students are challenged with a rigorous curriculum aimed at academic growth and intellectual creativity.The Philosophy with Politics & International Relations BA will equip you to analyse and make arguments with clarity, rigour, and originality, and will help you to understand our world and our place in it. The Philosophy major will give you the ability to engage with central questions, arguments, theories and texts concerning the world and our place within it. Learn about the logic behind language and meaning, while studying topics such as ethics, metaphysics and aesthetics. You will also consider how humans ought to interact with each other and the world and explore central philosophical arguments and questions throughout history.
