Exploring it at degree level can open up many doors – from commercial opportunities, to showcasing your work in art exhibitions.We’ll help you develop your skills to a professional standard, and give you the theoretical grounding, and practical opportunities, to add depth and flair to your work.**Cover all the bases**The course covers all aspects of contemporary photography practice, including editorial, fashion, product, portrait, documentary and arts-based photography. Gaining insight into this expansive field, you’ll have the chance to test out different areas within the image-based industries, to get a sense of what direction you want to take things in.**Hone your skills, build your knowledge**During your degree, you’ll develop the technical skills essential for enhancing your practice, including analogue and digital photography methods, lighting skills and darkroom techniques.Alongside this, you’ll develop a critical and theoretical understanding of photography, allowing you to gain further insights into the subject, and to enrich your practical application.We’ll help you develop as a creative, thoughtful practitioner, refining your vision and applying the right tools to find innovative approaches to making your work.**Hands-on teaching**Working closely with our experienced staff, and network of partner organisations, you’ll work on live or mock photography projects, to get you ready for your career.You’ll have the space to work on your own creative projects, too, including setting up your own exhibition and designing your own photo-books.
