**Study this extended Physical Geography degree with a foundation year to explore some of the most important issues facing the world today, from climate change to conservation.**On our Physical Geography (Extended), BSc degree, you'll learn the main techniques of investigation and data analysis used in Physical Geography while covering landforms, oceans, atmosphere, flora and fauna. Modules also explore the impact of human activity on the natural environment. A dissertation will give you the opportunity to study a topic of interest in depth.Fieldwork is an essential part of the course, with trips funded by the university. Previous destinations include the New Forest, the Lake District and Spain.Popular career options for our Geography graduates include conservation, environmental consulting, the civil service and teaching.**What you should know about this course**- This four year programme is identical to the three year course, but has a foundation year with lower entry requirements- If you have the ability but not the qualifications, this programme is your first step to graduation- The foundation year includes academic writing, computing skills, introduction to the subject and more.
