Course summary
Mathematics and Physics teachers are always in very high demand, and this degree prepares you for a highly rewarding career broadening the ambitions of young people. BSc (Hons) Physics with Mathematics Education (11-16 years) with QTS will qualify you to teach two core curriculum subjects in any state-maintained school in England and Wales. This course aims to nurture an intellectual curiosity in the Science underlying the nature and properties of matter and energy with an aspiration to convey this curiosity to others. Along with establishing an in-depth understanding of school level Mathematics and the ability to teach conceptual understanding, whilst considering some of the challenges that children and young people face when learning Mathematics. The School of Education have recently been voted 2nd in the U.K (1st in England) for it's Undergraduate Education courses according to the Guardian University League Tables, 2020.
