Course summary
Our course provides thorough training in key areas of political studies: political theory - the ideas that inspire how we understand and exercise political power political systems – the institutions and practices that shape what we can do, both at home and on the international stage and activist politics - the politics of protest, of social movements, and of effecting change.A wide choice of options give you control over your learning, enabling you to specialise in each of these areas. Our approach also encourages exploration of subfields and related disciplines including political economy, environmental politics, sex and gender studies and sociology through a diverse mix of options and core modules in your second and third years. You will also learn how to conduct your own research and write a dissertation on a topic of your choice which can include an original research project. We offer three other politics undergraduate courses.Politics and International Relations BA(Hons)Politics, Sexuality and Gender BA(Hons)Politics and Social Change BA(Hons)Location Brighton: MoulsecoombUCAS code L200Full-time 3 years
