Course summary
**Portuguese** embraces the study of the languages, literatures and cultures of Brazil, Portugal and the wider Portuguese-speaking world.Portuguese at Glasgow offers a varied programme, in which you will work in small groups with native speakers from Portugal and Brazil. The programme has long-established links with the Instituto Camões. You will have full access to our Language Resources Centre, which offers excellent audiovisual, digital and printed materials.**Social & Public Policy** focuses on social problems such as poverty, homelessness and ill-health. The programme applies ideas from political science, sociology and economics to explore how governments shape their responses, and to understand the impacts of public policy on society. You’ll have the valuable opportunity of a work placement with a voluntary or public sector organisation.
