The University's primary-age phase courses, that currently have 673 trainees, scored "Outstanding" for overall effectiveness, quality of education and training, leadership, and management in a 2023 report.

Being able to inspire future generations and see young children grow and develop with your help, is unlike any other job. Employment prospects are equally rewarding, with 100% of Roehampton's BA Primary Education graduates in work or further study 15 months after leaving us.

The course is designed to include at least 24 weeks’ school placement experience. Roehampton's vast network of 400 partner schools across London and the south east means we are able to ensure your placements are all within a reasonable commute, and that they include a diverse range of school types.

Completing this teacher training degree will give you Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

You will be taught by a supportive, highly driven team of academic staff, who will ensure you receive the very best preparation for going into teaching. Their approach, plus the experience of being out on placements, helps foster a terriffic camaraderie among BA Primary Education students, unlike that on any other degree course. Need convincing?
