Follow the School-based route if you want to spend most of your time learning how to teach directly in schools, gaining hands-on classroom experience alongside university-led training sessions with a dedicated primary specialist tutor. This ‘outstanding’-rated programme by Ofsted-the highest possible recognition-will lead to a recommendation for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), equipping you with the practical and theoretical skills to excel as a primary educator. Recently revalidated to ensure alignment with current Ofsted standards and educational priorities, the course allows you to tailor your training to your career aspirations by choosing either the Early Years (3–7) or Primary (5–11) pathway. You’ll benefit from our extensive network of partner schools, offering diverse and high-quality teaching placements, and be supported by an expert team of tutors known internationally for excellence in teaching and research. On successful completion, you’ll also gain 60 master’s-level credits-an ideal step toward further academic and professional development.
