Our Primary Teacher Education (PTE) course is for those who:- want a career where you can really change children’s lives- are curious about how children learn- want to become an outstanding teacher who improves children’s prospects.Our innovative degree develops your individual expertise as a teacher. We provide experiences to deepen your understanding of how to teach effectively. And they will be underpinned by current and relevant educational research, and theory about how children learn. You will be taught by dedicated primary teaching specialists, most of whom are former primary teachers themselves.You will:- gain an understanding of the full range of subjects in the primary school national curriculum- gain the skills to become a teacher recommended for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)- be well-informed about current practice- prepare to become a future professional leader. Ofsted recently recognised our Primary Teacher Education course as preparing trainees well to teach across the full primary curriculum.
