What you will study

The first year of the programme is designed to develop a range of essential teaching skills, increase knowledge of the learning process and develop ideas relating to teaching and learning strategies.

The second year of the programme focuses on ways in which tutors can enrich the learning experience of students through such things as blended learning and innovative teaching techniques.

Attendance

Attendance is required for two sessions of three hours per week (6 hours in total) either by afternoon or evening.

Assessment methods

Assessment includes assignments based on lesson planning, teaching, assessment and evaluation, course design and small scale research. There are no formal examinations. Assessment of professional practice is via a series of observations and assessments and the compilation of a professional development portfolio.
