Course summary

This full-time course aims to provide a fully immersive teaching experience by giving you access to employment and professional development opportunities in the Education and Training sector. The focus on learning through immersion and experience will provide you with greater exposure to the nature of learners and study programmes within the sector. An honours degree (2:2) is required for entry to the programme.

You will achieve a sound conceptual and practical understanding of how to influence the quality of teaching, learning and assessment across the multiple contexts in the post-14 sector. Through innovative teaching and learning strategies such as collaborative teaching and in-the-moment coaching, the course aims to model practices that trainees can enact in classrooms across different curricula and changing contexts in the sector.

At the end of the course, you will have the 120 credits that you need to teach post-14 year olds in the Education and Training sector.

This course is validated by The Open University.
