By choosing to study with us you will gain a degree accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), learn from leading experts in the field of psychology, and complete a career-enhancing placement. Perform scientific research into the mind – learning, communication, memory, thought and emotion – examining interplay between biological, environmental, social and cultural influences on human behaviour. Guided by the School of Psychology’s diverse teaching and research staff, you will develop critical thinking, leadership and innovation suited to any working role. You will work from the University of Wolverhampton’s Millennium City building, which will grant you access to psychology labs, simulated research environments and our unique cyberpsychology lab, where virtual reality- and eye tracking equipment will give your studies a tactile edge.

Completing your degree with an overall pass mark of 50% and the empirical psychology project, you become automatically eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society (BPS).

What happens on the course?
The course is part of the School of Psychology in the Faculty of Education, Health, & Wellbeing. The School of Psychology is the professional home to over 50 teaching and research staff, bringing a broad range of interests and experience to benefit students learning on our portfolio of courses. Our School is recognised as one of the leading providers of Psychology education, using innovative teaching methods focusing on the application of scientific and theoretical principles to the study of people’s lives. Psychology staff are grouped into a variety of highly active research clusters through our Centre for Psychological Research, publishing in the latest academic journals and working to make a real-world impact on people’s lives.
Study scientific approaches to understanding the mind, motivation, and behaviour. Modules cover theories, principles, ethics, and application in the real-world. Areas of psychology cover include social, cognitive, health, clinical, & developmental psychologies, as well as the appropriate research methods.
