Course Overview

On our BSc (Hons) Psychology & Criminology degree you’ll study the nature of crime in society and gain an understanding of crime and criminal behaviour from two complementary perspectives.

- Our Psychology & Criminology course enables you to gain the benefits of the breadth and depth of knowledge required for a BPS accredited Psychology degree whilst gaining a complementary perspective from criminological insights into the causes of crime, prevention and rehabilitation. - You will gain the added benefits from studying in a department with an international reputation for Forensic Psychology, the field of Psychology that considers psychological aspects of legal processes in courts.- On this course you’ll learn application of psychological theory to criminal investigation and crime prevention. You'll also develop an understanding psychological problems associated with criminal behaviour and the treatment and rehabilitation of those who have committed offences.


Future Careers

Graduating on this BPS-accredited course enables you to gain entry requirements to further education and professional training in Psychology. We offer a range of BPS-accredited MSc courses (eg Forensic Psychology) which would be the first step towards achieving professional training in Psychology.
