City's Psychology BSc (Hons) is BPS accredited and gives students the opportunity to specialise in one of four areas of Psychology. Students that enter this popular degree can apply to one of our four specialist pathways at the end of their second year, or continue with a regular BSc Psychology degree pathway. This flexibility offers our students unique opportunities to start shaping their CVs as their career aspirations take shape. Our BSc Psychology with Pathways include: - BSc Psychology with Counselling and Health Psychology - BSc Psychology with Organisational Psychology and Behavioural Economics - BSc Psychology with Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience - BSc Psychology with Child Development The BSc (Hons) Psychology at City encourages analytical and critical thinking while developing an understanding of the complex interactions between the human mind, brain, behaviour and experience. You will be taught by internationally recognised research-active academics, who will provide a rich curriculum and give you a wide range of experiences and insights across the full range of topics in psychology. The staff will dedicate their time to your development in academic and professional skills and a personal tutor will mentor and support you in achieving your aspirations for the future. The BSc (Hons) Psychology at City is an excellent introduction to many careers. Graduates have found that the keys skills learnt have found them roles in schools, charities, the NHS and the Crown Prosecution Service. The degree will therefore serve as an ideal stepping stone towards your future, whether it be in further education or a professional career. The degree is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and comprises the first stage of qualifying as a Chartered Psychologist. It also provides the necessary first degree qualification for further education on BPS-accredited Masters and Doctoral level courses.
