Course summary
What is Psychology MSc?
This conversion programme is designed for graduates in any area who would like to pursue a career in professional psychology. As the programme is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), those completing with an overall grade of 50% or above, will be eligible for graduate basis for registration with the BPS. This will enable you to pursue further training in psychology, in specialisms such as forensic, occupational, educational, clinical sports and health psychology in addition to psychological research via a PhD.
Whether you have studied psychology but did not gain accreditation with the BPS, or you are looking to change career paths after studying another subject, this could be the course for you. To help you make this transition, we provide pre-sessional materials which provide a foundation in some of the key aspects that will underpin the degree.
Study style
The course takes a strongly applied approach, drawing upon the experiences and insight of team of Psychologists who are committed to offering an excellent student experience. You’ll learn through interactive sessions, with opportunities for guided discussions around the topic. The course will assess you in applied formats that you are likely to encounter in a future career in psychology. As such, you will complete research reports, essays, presentations and a dissertation.
