Course summary

This four-year master course enables you to study psychology at a more advanced level. Your fourth year will consist of a year-long research project in an area of your choice. This can be in any area of psychology or human behavior that you're interested in or would like to pursue a career in. You will have the opportunity to work closely with one of our expert research groups. Psychology research at Nottingham is at the cutting edge of its field. Recent impactful research has been on reducing educational inequality in Malawai children and improving the UK driving test. You will also develop key skills in project management and data analysis. This will help prepare you for a range of successful careers, especially if you are considering one in research and development.This course is accredited by the British psychology society. It is designed to give you an expert understanding of fundamental psychology and human behaviorThis course also comes with lots of additional opportunities between years two and three. You can choose to study abroad at one of our international partner universities. These include in countries such as USA, Australian, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Japan, and more. Studying abroad can be a great life experience and teach you lots of interpersonal skills and enable you to work with different cultures. You can also choose to work on a placement year in industry.
