This degree has a direct applicability to a wide variety of career options and is also a suitable for foundation for those wishing to continue with further academic study. Students who successfully complete the FdSc could gain employment across a wide range of sectors including psychological, social, educational, health and mental health support, public relations and service, research, digital media, marketing and social influencing.Students interested in further study could apply for the proposed NCG Level 6 BSc Psychology with Sociology (Top Up) or NCG Level 6 BSc in Integrated Health, Social Care and Well-Being (Top Up). Students who successfully complete the FdSc could gain employment across a wide range of sectors including psychological, social, educational, health and mental health support, public relations and service, research, digital media, marketing and social influencing. On successful completion of this course, you could work in a variety of roles as outlined above. Further study and specialist training will be required for some careers, such as clinical psychology, assistant psychologist roles, counselling and teaching. For other roles you might go straight into employment and undertake further on the job training, examples of such roles include behavioural support worker, specialist mental health worker, drugs support worker, learning mentor, progression coach, school based pastoral care roles.
