About this course

This degree has your future career in mind. It enables you to take the first steps to becoming a chartered psychologist. Your studies will be supported by purpose-built research laboratories and psychological analysis equipment, including eye trackers, EEG (recording brain activity) and specialist neuropsychological and survey software.You can choose to study a range of topics such as schizophrenia, health and positive psychology, autism, cyberbullying and prejudice. There are also advanced modules on atypical development, neuropsychology, cognitive psychology, occupational psychology, critical social psychology, forensic psychology, psychotherapeutic psychology and the psychology of art.You'll be able to tailor your studies to suit your interests and ambitions. All students participate in original research projects and you'll be supported by research-active academics. Specialised work placements will give you direct work experience – much sought-after by graduate employers.
