Real Estate Surveying (Valuation and Finance) with Foundation Year is an excellent route into built environment disciplines for those from a non-built environment background. It is ideal if you’re returning to education or seeking to develop your career in a new direction.Our Valuation and Planning pathway places emphasis on the key valuation skills required to assess and communicate value, and the financial aspects of property development to clients. Topics covered include: property finance and investment, property economics, complex valuation, taxation and property development.The course provides unified training in construction, surveying and design techniques and meets the prerequisites for the BSc (Hons) Real Estate Surveying degree. With the full undergraduate degree you'll gain knowledge of the economic, legal, technical and managerial aspects of property and real estate. You'll explore technology, design and professional practice, so you are ready to advance to the full undergraduate degree. On successful completion of the foundation year, you will progress to the BSc (Hons) Real Estate Surveying (Valuation and Finance) degree. In year one, you will study essential modules in regulation, economics, principles of valuation and appreciation of technology. During year two, you will be introduced to specific topics, including property law, property economics, property investment and urban regeneration.
