PGCE Secondary – Religious Education (QTS)

We live in such a diverse society which includes many religions, many philosophies and many ethical systems. As such, it is key that we develop knowledge of these different fields among young generations. The PGCE Religious Education programme is structured to promote this aim and enables students to develop key skills to become effective, innovative and knowledgeable teachers.The PGCE course at Bangor will ensure that you develop key skills and traits to become Religious Studies teachers of the highest calibre. In addition to developing the core abilities to be outstanding Religious Studies teachers, you will also further many skills that will be applicable for a role as a teacher of Humanities, which will give you the opportunity to explore other aspects of the Humanities Curriculum, so that you are fully prepared to meet the needs of the new Curriculum for Wales.
