Course summary
This is the place where we design a greener and energy efficient future, using scientific evidence. Our Renewable Energy and Architecture MSc teaches you how to use and integrate energy from renewable sources (such as sun and wind), to achieve energy efficiency and sustainability within the context of architecture, planning and construction. You’ll learn how to design, simulate and optimise energy efficient and sustainable building and construction solutions – in urban and landscape settings and in different climates. You’ll practice how to make scientifically verified design decisions and apply these at all levels and all stages of the design process, from site planning to landscape design and from urban and detailed building design to construction.During the course, you’ll also be taught how to use advanced engineering software tools and will use these to produce and use scientific evidence in your design projects. Students are encouraged to learn and work together, both as teams and individuals, helping you to practice the soft skills – like project management and communications – that will be invaluable to your career.
