Course summary

This part-time three-year Master's programme enhances students' ability to provide high-quality and comprehensive restorative management a majority of patients.

The programme aims to enhance students' knowledge of the clinical applications and limitations of restorative dentistry, develop the skill of critical reading of published literature, and enhance research methodology and presentation skills.

A comprehensive range of Restorative Dentistry topics will be covered, progressively and systematically increasing your range and depth of knowledge as you progress through the programme.

Students will have the opportunity to learn research methods and techniques, whilst undertaking a year-long original, supervised research project.

Careers

Most graduates return to enhanced careers in Primary Care Dentistry. A small number progress to full-time Master's programmes, sometimes with specialist training. One recent graduate progressed to a part-time PhD. Others develop special interests in aspects of Restorative Dentistry or engage in a part-time career in teaching.

Employability

Graduates use the qualification to improve their prospects by moving to better dental practices, setting up their own dental practices, progressing to full-time Master's programmes and specialist training, progressing to PhD level, and developing careers in teaching.
