Portuguese is the seventh most widely spoken language in the world, and the political weight of countries such as Brazil and Angola means Portuguese speakers are increasingly in demand.You can study one language from scratch or build on existing experience. Both departments offer a lively, friendly and supportive environment.You will divide your third year abroad between a Russian-speaking and a Portuguese-speaking environment. There are a wide range of placements to choose from, which may include studying in a university, teaching English or working in a multinational company or non-governmental organisation.
