Course Overview

Develop your understanding of higher level leadership and management skills. This apprenticeship provides development opportunities for individuals who wish to develop their theoretical understanding of higher level leadership and management skills, whilst working. What distinguishes this programe from other master’s level study programmes is the employer-defined knowledge, skills and behaviour outcomes that are integrated and assessed, underpinned with an MBA.

We have designed the Senior Leader MBA and its delivery in collaboration with employers to ensure all aspects of the apprenticeship standard are met. We have developed approaches to delivery and assessment that will deliver high quality education and training and fulfil employer expectations. This will be achieved through a blended learning approach of online learning coupled with immersive periods of face to face teaching.

How will you be taught?

A flexible blended learning approach including online learning, online interaction with lecturers and blocks of face to face learning.

How will you be assessed?

Includes essays, presentations, work-based project, consultancy project, business plan, strategy document and an end point assessment which consists of a project showcase and professional discussion.

What might you become?

MBA Senior Leader prepares candidates for roles including General Managers, Senior Managers, Section Leaders, Executives, Directors, COO, CFO, CEO, CIO roles and Senior Military Officers. Potential students will be a strategic leader with senior management responsibility, which may include formal governance or director responsibilities. They would be responsible for setting strategy, direction and vision.
