Our unique World Philosophies degree offers you the chance to engage with a diverse range of philosophical traditions from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. This course will expand your knowledge and develop your critical understanding of philosophy in the context of a wider range of societies and historical eras than a traditional philosophy degree. You will investigate the origin, nature, methods, and limits of human knowledge traditions of argumentation as well as political and ethical systems of thought from a truly global perspective.This degree will also allow you to study the methods of social anthropological investigation, emphasising the detailed study of multiple, interwoven areas of social and cultural life, through long participation and linguistic familiarity.
