Social Justice and Community Action at the University of Chester will deliver graduates with the skills to make a real difference in the public sector and civic society.Building on established links with local and national organisations, the Department of Social and Political Science provides students with innovative education with real impact. Our networks of community practitioners, charities, voluntary organisations, social causes, lobbyist groups, campaigners and national experts, as well as statutory service providers, complement an established team of professors, lecturers and researchers with experience in service delivery, activism and public social science, to deliver a rich and critical learning environment.Foundation Year courses have been designed for students who do not have the necessary academic qualifications needed to enter directly into the first year of a degree but who have the ability and commitment to do so.
