Stronger and Safer Communities:Restorative justice; policing and the community; crime and antisocial behaviour in the night time economy; police professionalisation; social and supported housing; asset-based community development; feminist activism; citizenship, exclusion and belonging.

Identities:“Race” and citizenship, intersectionality; diaspora and identities; cultural and critical criminology; online social-sexual networks of gay, bisexual and queer men; social media and drug markets; drag identities; masculinity and military identities; cultural heritage and youth identities.

Global Challenges:Migration and transnational identities; population health, wellbeing and ageing; democracy and global governance; genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity; international security and terrorism; food security, water management and periurban agriculture.

Psychology and Social Issues:Wellbeing and resilience in caring professions; management and treatment of offenders. Research in Social Sciences is promoted by the Centre for Learning and Innovation in Public Protection (CLIPP).
