Course summary
Software engineers develop and maintain large-scale complex software infrastructures. Our programme combines theoretical computing science with the principles and practices used in the modern software industry and gives you real-world experience. Our graduates are employed by worldwide names as well as local and international startup companies. We actively support our graduates in creating their own startups. We encourage you to explore our LinkedIn Channel for a flavour of where our graduates work and the DiscoverUni platform to explore our impressive graduate employment and salary statistics. The Student Tech Society at Glasgow organises regular hackathons and other coding events, bringing together students, staff and industrial software developers. Our graduates are recognised by the British Computer Society (BCS), The Chartered Institute for IT, and meet the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered IT Professional (CITP). The School of Computing Science has been ranked first for overall student satisfaction in four of the last nine years in the National Student Survey. Courses are designed and taught by researchers who are leaders in their fields.
