This innovative, 18-month bilingual programme offers you the opportunity to combine Queen Mary University of London’s LLM in International Business Law with the Universite Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne’s LLM in French and European Law. This is a unique opportunity to study international and comparative business law in French and English at two renowned institutions.Gain two globally respected LLMs – and international expertiseGain experience through an internship with a law firm or the legal department of a companyBenefit from our excellent partnerships with Parisian law firms and other legal institutionsVisits to institutions such as the European Court of Human Rights and European CommissionBecome part of the active international alumni networks of both institutions.What you'll studyYou will begin this Double LLM with a compulsory four-day induction period in Paris in January, so you feel well-prepared to start of the programme.You will have a flexible range of modules on international business law taught by Queen Mary at the University of London Institute in Paris (ULIP) campus.At the start of the second semester in September, you will join the Universite Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne’s induction and select your modules for that semester. You will follow the French and European Law stream of the Sorbonne’s LLM and take French as a Foreign Language and Legal French classes to improve your French language writing and legal research skills. You will also have opportunities to visit international legal institutions such as the European Court of Human Rights, the European Commission and the Court of Justice of the European Union.With the Sorbonne’s supervision and the support of both institutions, you will secure a three-month internship before your third semester. The internship is generally in-house or with a law firm, though other legal contexts are also recognised. Students generally take their internships in France but internships conducted in French elsewhere in Europe may be acceptable.
