Course summary
This course is based on the same principles as single honours Spanish, but allows you to include a substantial proportion of study in Italian. Spanish is the major subject which counts for two-thirds of your degree, and Italian is the minor subject which counts for the remaining third. 40 of your 120 credits each year will be in Italian. Your study of the Spanish language is the same in scope and number of credits as for single honours Spanish; you take fewer Spanish options in the second and final years, as your 40 credits in the minor subject take their place. Residence Abroad: If your other subject is a language you can go to a Spanish speaking country for the entire third year and the same options apply as for single honours Spanish or you can split the year between two countries in the same way as joint honours students taking two languages. In this case you are likely to study at a university in each country.
