The CertHE Sport, Health and Physical Education is designed to develop your skills in teaching physical education and coaching youth sport. In this one-year course, you will apply academic content through various practical activities, including games, athletics, health and fitness, dance, swimming, gymnastics, and adventurous activities.You will be guided by a team of inspirational academic staff with extensive experience in physical education and sport. Their knowledge and expertise will support you throughout your studies.The course has been developed with input from professionals in physical education and youth sport to ensure it is relevant to the field. Studying this certificate will help you decide if you want to pursue the full degree program (a two-year top-up) or a future career in teaching, coaching, or other related areas. The certificate also prepares you for work in coaching and teaching assistant positions. You will gain valuable experience working with children, which can lead to roles in youth work, international camps, or as a play worker.High-quality physical education and youth sport are vital for the health and well-being of young people.
