Our Sport Management programme will attract applicants who have ambitions to develop a successful managerial career in sport, leisure and recreation industries. The importance of sport and recreation in all areas of life is now recognised not only in terms of our health and well-being, but also as a highly profitable business sector.

This programme aims to:

  • provide you with the knowledge and skills to develop the critical understanding and professional knowledge to take up a managerial position in the ever-expanding sport and activity industry.
  • develop rounded graduates equipped to manage effectively with the knowledge of contemporary issues and challenges associated with modern sport.
  • provide detailed knowledge and understanding of developing and delivering community sport and activity.
  • develop and manage appropriate structures and environments for elite sport.

  • provide a detailed understanding of the challenges and opportunities of working with information systems and the human aspects of systems.

In addition, this course will:
